About the Presenter – Jenna
Jenna is the Director of Indigenous Learning for The Outdoor Learning School & Store, a certified teacher of 20 years, and a graduate of the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NITEP). She holds a Master’s in Special Education and previously served as Vice President for Indigenous Learning and Equity for the Rocky Mountain School Board. In 2025, she graduated from the Secwépemc Language Fluency Certificate Program.
Jenna is on a lifelong learning journey exploring her culture, traditional teachings, languages, and knowledge of nature. She believes Indigenous perspectives weave seamlessly with outdoor, experiential, and place-based learning. Her dream is to provide learners of all ages the opportunity to explore, learn, and immerse themselves in the outdoors and Indigenous knowledge and perspectives.
Jenna lives at the headwaters of the Columbia River, which runs through the unceded territories of her ancestors, the Secwépemc and Ktunaxa peoples.
