Overview

  • Work is evolving due to globalization, demographic shifts, new tech, and rapid change.
  • HR professionals must now be strategic, influential, and adaptive.
  • This 3-day interactive program from IPMA-Canada focuses on 3 core HR roles:
    • Leadership
    • Business Partner
    • Change Agent
  • Participants engage in simulations, exercises, and leave with a post-program action plan.

Module 1: Leadership

  • HR professionals, from Advisors to VPs, must act as thought leaders.
  • Key focus areas:
    • Diversity, ethics, employee engagement, and workforce management.
    • Interpreting financials and metrics, influencing strategy and decision-making.
    • Emphasizes guiding both HR and broader organizational strategy.

Module 2: Business Partner

  • HR is no longer just transactional (e.g., recruitment,payroll).
  • Modern HR must:
    • Advise and collaborate at all levels.
    • Manage relationships and balance diverse agendas.
    • Communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Participants will learn:
    • Steps in effective consulting.
    • Influencing strategies.
    • Building high-performance teams.

Module 3: Change Agent

  • HR must lead and support organizational change.
  • This module explores:
    • The difference between change and transition.
    • Practical change management theory.
    • Frameworks and tools to manage resistance and drive successful change.
